One Voice Information
Service
Working to improve the lives of
disabled people in the Lancaster and Morecambe District
One Voice Information Service is a user-led organisation working
within the Lancaster & Morecambe area. Our aim is to deliver
a free and confidential information service on disability issues -
either by telephone referral, e-mail or via our drop-in
facility. If we are unable to help, we will signpost to an
appropriate organisation in order to maintain an efficient and quality
service.
The organisation is run by disabled people with personal knowledge and experience of disability issues, who have a practical and dedicated approach to provide free
support for disabled people, their families, carers and other people involved with disability issues.
We can give information on a wide range of issues which include:
- Access
- Arts & Leisure Services
- Housing
- Employment / Training Support
- Leisure
- Aids, Adaptions and Mobility Equipment
- Disability Benefits
- Transport & Travel
- Rights & Legislation
- Parking / Blue Badges
- Caring and Care Services
- Accessible Holidays
We have expanded our services to include:
Benefit Surgeries:
where trained staff will be able to assist you in completing disability benefit forms.
We are also hoping to expand our services to include:
Outreach:
providing our information services around the district.
